The students of Std IV, V, VII & X of DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar presented their dramatic and language skills in acolourful and fun filled presentation under the training and leadership of Helen O’ Grady International Speech and Drama group, on 13th May, 2016.
The programme focuses on confidence building, communication skills, self – esteem, body – language and development of overall personality of children. The students of std VII and X showcased their talent in a presentation “Afghanistan My Country”, prepared under the guidance of Ms. Tarini Peshawaria, Prabhjot Kaur Matharu and Ayushi Bhandari of Helen O’ Grady International. This offering conveyed the message of selfless service to all those around us and tolerance for everyone by rising above Heroism.
The Std V students presented ‘Bold Buccaneers’ a fun and high energy play about pirates. It had music, light and sound effects and regaled the audience with the constant energy packed presentation. The Std IV students had an introspective message to spread through their presentation ‘Contemporary India’ which provided food for thought and a message to rise above the barriers of caste and religion and live in unity.
The parents of 40 participant students were highly impressed by the presentation and gave rave reviews.
Regional Director Punjab Zone – A, Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and school Manager Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College , Hathi Gate , Amritsar were highly pleased and all praises for this talent packed show by the children and showered their blessings on them.
Principal Dr. Neera Sharma was also extremely satisfied and upbeat by the out standing show and encouraged the children to keep up their enthusiasm in all walks of life.
