DAV roller skaters shine in Distt Roller Skating Competition
Keeping in mind and abiding by all the guidelines issued by the Govt., A district level
Roller Skating Competition was held at ‘The Wheels Skating Track’, Loharka Road,
Amritsar under the aegis of Distt. Roller Skating Association (regd.) on 12 th and 13 th
December, 2020. Children aged 5 to 18 years actively participated in this tournament
braving the chilly weather. Mehak Gupta of Std XII (Non Med.) and Rahul Rai of Std
XII (Med.) represented DAV Public School in the above 17 senior category. Mehak
Gupta bagged a total of 4 gold medals in 500 m, 1000 m, Road Race 100 m and One
lap categories, while Rahul Rai bagged a Silver Medal in 500 m, and 2 Gold Medals
in 3000 m and One lap racing events. Both the students have been selected for Open
State Skating Championship to be held in January 2021.
