Brief History of the School
Directly managed by the DAV College Managing Committee, Chitra GuptaRoad, New Delhi, the school was established in 1982. Since then the school has provided honest intellect and spontaneous creative awakening through a versatile network of academics, co-curricular activities and sports. Our mentors at the DAVCMC, New Delhi the President Arya Ratan Sh. Punam Suri ji and his devoted team provides us with benevolent blessings and visionary guidance inspiring our youth to be Shresth Aryans.
Life at DAV Public centres on a shared commitment to academic excellence, intellectual growth, art, athletics, high standards of ethical awareness, sportsmanship, and community service. The school’s traditions and accessibility to a broad curriculum add depth to each student?s life. The school is humbly and consistently involved in the noble task of shaping up Human Excellence upholding the precepts of Arya Samaj, as laid down by Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati and Mahatma Hansraj ji.
With the Vedas as our magic talisman, Swami Dayanand Saraswati and Mahatma Hansraj as our luminous beacons of light and Arya Samaj as a strong ethical foundation, gifting the Nation with conscientious, patriotic citizens is our noble privilege. Havan, Mantra chanting, regular and enthusiastic participation in Arya Virat Sammelans, Weekly Havans, Jan Chetna Rallys, Vedic Chetna Shivirs and other value based programmes are the ambience we breathe in.
While adopting all modern, high tech methodology and imparting language skills in English alongwith Hindi, Punjabi and Sanskrit , we make all efforts to ensure that the Anglo of the DAV stands between the two strong pillars i.e. D for Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati and V for Vedic values. Thereby we do not allow the Anglo part to overpower our Vedic base.
The school is well equipped with 7 STATE-OF-ART COMPUTER LABS, MATHS LAB, WELL EQUIPPED SCIENCE LABS, FINE ARTS LABS, MUSIC, SITAR, DANCE ROOMS, WELL STOCKED 3 STORIED COMPUTERISED LIBRARY, MULTIMEDIA HALL WITH LCD PROJECTORS, SEMINAR ROOM, YOGA, JUDO, BOXING ROOMS, GYMNASIUM, ACTIVITY AND CREATIVITY ROOMS, VAST PLAYGROUND, TUCK SHOP WITH HELATHY FOOD OPTIONS. School has eBEAM INTERACTIVE DEVICE, BOE BOE KIT for teaching Robotics and Dynamics, SCANTRON MACHINE to check objective type papers on OMR sheets. Another important addition is SMARTCLASS TECHNOLOGY, a digital initiative by Educosoft which makes available a vast source of knowledge content to each class.
We offer an innovative and rigorous academic programme to the students that fosters critical thinking and independent inquiry. Alongwith the usual academic subjects the students have the option to choose from a wide range of interesting subjects and join various clubs like Food Production , Retail, IT , Geo ? Spacial , Photography club, Heritage Club, Literary Club , Eco ? Club , NCC , NSS etc.
