DAV Observes Quit India Movement Anniversary

The 77 th Anniversary of Quit India Movement was observed at DAV Public School,
Lawrence Road, Amritsar. This movement was launched by Mahatma Gandhi for
freedom from British rule. He urged the people to conduct peaceful protest and
demonstration, and act as an independent nation. His mantra of ‘Do or Die’ was
imprinted on the hearts of the Indians.
The students of the school paid tribute to the Father of the Nation and other
freedom fighters on this occasion. They recited poems and sang patriotic songs
remembering their sacrifices, and also took a pledge to revive that ‘Do or Die’
determination in them.
