DAV Public School Celebrated Hindi Diwas

DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar celebrated Hindi Diwas with great
enthusiasm. On this day in 1949, the constituent assembly of India adopted Hindi written in
Devangari script as the official language of the Union.
During the special assembly organised by the teachers, they spoke about the importance of
Hindi. They quoted Dr.Rajendra Prasad, who said that Hindi as a language will bind the
whole nation and play an important role in spreading harmony. The teachers emphasised that
Hindi is one of the oldest and the most influential languages in the world and we should take
pride in speaking our mother language. They also recited poems and sang inspirational song.
