ANNUAL FUNCTION of PLAYPEN and NURSERY

In these unprecedented times, technology has allowed us to build close relationships in a way never seen
before in human history . It has bridged  the gap between school and home and brought them together .
Using this creative medium , DAV Public School,  Lawrence Road, Amritsar showcased the "VIRTUAL
ANNUAL FUNCTION" of Playpen and Nursery titled ‘Jungle Safari’ on 26-02.2022.
With the blessings of the worthy  President of DAV College Managing Committee, Padma Shree Awardee
Arya Ratan Dr. Poonam Suri , under the dynamic supervision of Sh. JP Shoor , (Director PS 1 and Aided
schools), Dr. Neelam Kamra , (Regional Officer Punjab Zone - A) and    Dr. Pushpinder Walia ,(Principal
BBK DAV College for Women and Manager  of the school) and under the able guidance of Mr. Balwinder
Singh ,Officiating Teacher Incharge, students of Playpen and Nursery performed with great zeal and
enthusiasm.
The tiny tots put up a wonderful show and enthralled their proud parents in a colourful display of the animal
world. Jungle safari theme was taken to sensitize the little angels towards animals as a part of this
ecosystem and to arouse compassion in them for these beautiful creatures.
Musical Presentation of different rhymes and songs like  Wheels on the bus, Old Mcdonald, Birdie-Birdie,
Monkey dance, Teddy bear- Teddy bear, Animal sounds, Animal actions and the Goodbye song transported
the audience into the animal world. The kids conveyed the message that we should love animals and always
be kind and friendly to them. The well coordinated event  held the audience in awe as one by one the items
unfolded. It was a wonderful feeling watching the kids perform on the Virtual mode. Everyone was
mesmerised by the fabulous performance of the little ones.
