DAV Public School Hosts Literature Conclave
With the blessings of our most revered Arya Ratan Padma Shri Dr.Punam Suri ji ,under the
aegis of DAV CAE, DAV CMC, New Delhi ,a spectacular DAV Literary Conclave was
organised by Punjab Zone – A in DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar.
The conclave was graced by esteemed dignitaries Dr. J.P. Shoor , Director PS (I) and Aided
Schools, Padma Shree Dr. Harmohinder Singh Bedi, Chancellor Central University, H.P.,
Dr. Neelam Kamra, Regional Officer Punjab Zone – A , Dr. Pushpinder Walia , Manager of
the school , Mr.Kulbir Singh Suri , Story Writer, S. Deep Davinder, Punjabi Story Writer
and Ms.Suvidha Duggal Sarpal , Drama Writer , Actor and Director.
Dr.Pallavi Sethi Principal DAV Public School , Lawrence Road, Amritsar welcomed the
dignitaries with green plants followed by auspicious lighting of the lamp and DAV Anthem .
Regional Officer Punjab Zone – A Dr.Neelam Kamra formally welcomed the worthy
dignitaries and eminent guests and congratulated the school for hosting the Literature
Conclave. In her address she laid emphasis on literature and its impact on education and
young minds. She added that literature is a highly acclaimed field of study and can be opted
as a career. She highlighted the reading books is one of the most beneficial ways to improve
language, skills , strengthen analytical skills and inspire creativity and stressed that children
should inculcate the habit of reading as books are a storehouse of knowledge.
Speaking on the occasion , esteemed Dr.J.P.Shoor , at the very outset , appreciated the efforts
of the school for organising the Literature Conclave. He stated that literature is the part and
parcel of life as it provides the capacity to connect human relationship , leads to peep into the
cultural system, helps in holistic development, as well as serves as a piece of excitement. He
added that DAV Literature is an outcome of accumulated wisdom of the Arya Samaj
stalwarts. According to him organising such events arouse interest in literature and lead to a
positive change in life.
