Annual Function of Play Pen, Nursery and Std – II

With the blessings of Arya Ratan Padma Shri Dr. Punam Suri Ji (President DAV CMC,New Delhi) and
under the able guidance of Dr. J.P. Shoor Ji , Director Public and Aided schools DAV CMC New Delhi ,Dr
Neelam Kamra Ji Regional Officer Punjab Zone -A and Dr. Pushpinder Walia Ji ,Manager of the school and
Principal BBK DAV College for Women, 528 vibrant students of Play Pen, Nursery and Std 2 of DAV
Public School presented the Annual function "Colours of Life " on March 12,2023 in Urvi Auditorium with
full vigour and zeal.
The students after diligent practice showcased their talent with full confidence and fervour. The children
conveyed that colours are a celebration of life. Colours have the ability to influence our mood and shape our
consciousness.
The breathtaking performances of students conveyed the powerful message that Colours evoke emotions.
Just as the wondrous rainbow makes us feel happy, excited and energised, similarly, vibrant colours bring
hope, joy and uplift our mood. Colours are essential for improving the quality of life as colours together
disseminate values and support a balanced life.
The show started with yellow colour which represented soothing nature, fresh ambience and serene life
followed by red symbolising Love. Orange, green, purple, white and other colours were brilliantly
showcased through dance, enactment and nukkad natak to sensitise the audience with the message of
aiming high , developing spirit of patriotism, preserving Nature and maintaining peace and harmony in the
world. Finally ,the astounding, rhythmic, well synchronised dance performance of the students representing
colourful life left the audience mesmerised.
The program was presented in 2 shows, morning and evening. Dr. Ramesh Arya Ji, was the chief guest in
the morning show and Mr. Simrandeep Singh Ji was the chief guest in the evening show.
The chief guest of the morning show Dr. Ramesh Arya Ji, Vice President, DAV College Managing
Committee, New Delhi and Vice Chairman ,DAV Public School encouraged and praised the children for
their performance and congratulated the teachers and the parents for their role in the life of children and
talked about the importance of moral values in the growth of a child. He related his personal experiences to
illustrate the values that DAV instils in its students so that they can become confident and responsible.
The Presiding officer and the guest of the function Dr. J.P. Shoor Ji, Director (PS-I) and Aided Schools,
DAV Managing Committee, New Delhi appreciated the efforts of the dedicated staff and students for the
holistic development of children and wished them good luck for their future endeavours. He stressed that
hard work is always honoured and without this we can not do justice to ourselves and our country.
According to him, DAV institutions work tirelessly to transform each student into a responsible citizen. He
emphasised the importance of parents spending quality time with their real assets - their kids.
The chief guest for the evening show Mr. Simrandeep Singh Ji, IAS- Assistant Commissioner (under
training) complimented the school for its success and wished a better future for the students. He appreciated
the talent showcased by the tiny tots and admired the stage confidence at such a tender age. Both parents and
teachers must work conjointly as children are the future of our country.
