The students of DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar presented a special Assembly to
commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Hansraj Ji and Lord Mahavira,the founder of
Jainism . A holy Havan was organized in Cantt. Branch where everyone paid rich tribute to
Mahatma Hansraj Ji,an educationist par excellence.  Mahatma Hansraj Ji, an ardent follower of
Swami Dayanand Ji founded the Dayanand Anglo Vedic School System with Gurudatta
Vidhyarthi.This occasion holds special significance for our school as we honour the legacy of a
visionary leader who dedicated his life to the cause of education and social upliftment.The students
of the school accentuated the teachings and ideals of Mahatma Hansraj and Lord Mahavira. The
atmosphere of the school was filled with piety and purity as the students chanted the Holy Mantras,
sang devotional songs and emphasized on the contributions of these great personalities.
