The students of DAV Public School , Lawrence Road, Amritsar filled the atmosphere with exuberance as
they  presented a special assembly on the  auspicious occasion of Baisakhi , Pakhand Khandani Pataka
Diwas and Ambedkar Jayanti. The celebrations began with the soulful rendition of  the school prayers . The
students enhanced the importance of Pakhand khandani Pataka Diwas and how Swami Dayanand Saraswati
ji emphasized vedic education and the spread of learning   to elevate the society. Excerpts from the life of     
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar were also read out which inspired  children to follow the path shown by the architect of
the Indian constitution. A visual treat was served by organizing the folk dance of Punjab  that elevated and
spurred the aura of glee and festivity. The school campus reverberated with applause as students depicted
Punjab’s folk culture and ancient traditions  through vibrant  Bhangra, dressed in colourful Punjabi
traditional attires.
