DAV. PUBLIC SCHOOL HOSTS DAV NATIONAL SPORTS CLUSTER LEVEL TOURNAMENT

Under the able guardianship of Arya Ratan Padam Shri Dr. Punam Suri ji President DAV, CMC, New Delhi and
tutelage of Sh. VK Chopra ji Director Public Schools. DAV National Sports Cluster Level Tournament was organised
at DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar .The day brought together 373 talented sports stars from 9 schools
of Cluster V in this magnificient event. The teams that competed in various events were DAV Public School,
Lawrence Road, Amritsar, DAV International School Verka Bye pass, Amritsar, Police DAV Public School, Amritsar,
MKD DAV Public School, Attari, GND DAV Public school, Bhikhiwind, Dr. Dault Ram Bhalla Public school,
Batala,. JRS DAV Public school Chhabal, Dhan Devi DAV Public school Gurdaspur , Jiya lal Mittal DAV Public
school, Gurdaspur ,
The tournament featured the Badminton, Chess, Football, Karate, Swimming and Yoga events.
The school playground was overflowing with enthusiasm, passion, and fervor .The event commenced with the DAV.
Gaan and unfurling of the DAV Flag. This was followed by the Oath Taking Ceremony wherein everybody pledged
to indulge in fair play. Principal Dr. Pallavi Sethi conveyed her best wishes to the teams for the upcoming
competition.

Boys- U-14 (Badminton)
The team of DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar was the only team selected for State Level Tournament.
Boys- U- 17(Badminton)
DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar won the First position, Jiya Lal Mittal DAV Public School
Gurdaspur secured the Second position, and Police DAV Public School, Amritsar got the Third position.
Boys- U-19 (Badminton)
DAV International School, Verka Bye Pass , Amritsar bagged the First position. DAV Public School Lawrence Road
Amritsar got the Second position and Dhan Devi DAV Public school Gurdaspur bagged the Third position.
Girls- U-14 (Badminton)
DAV Public School Lawrence Road bagged the First position .
Girls- U- 17 (Badminton)
DAV Public School Lawrence Road bagged the First position DAV International School, Verka Bye Pass Amritsar
bagged the Second position.
Girls- U- 19 (Badminton)
DAV Public School Lawrence Road was declared the winner.
Boys- U-14 (Yoga)
DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar displayed their expertise by winning the First position, DRB
Centenary Public School, Batala stood Second in this category.

the Second position.

got the Second position and JLM DAV Public School , Gurdaspur stood on the Third position.

bagged the Second position and DRB DAV Centenary Public School , Batala was the Second Runner up.
