The Principal of DAV Public School, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘃𝗶 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶, conducted an enlightening Session on “Smart Study Strategies” aimed at empowering students to enhance their focus, discipline, and confidence in academic preparation.

The session commenced with an inspiring theme “Our Shared Mission,” urging students to strive for excellence, plan intelligently, minimize stress, and nurture confidence through consistent effort. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶 emphasized that “Hard Work + Self-Discipline = Unstoppable Success.”

Students were guided to critically analyze their syllabus, identify their strong and weak areas, and prioritize high-weightage chapters for systematic preparation. They were also encouraged to maintain a weekly progress tracker to monitor growth and stay self-motivated.

Through the “Priority Table of Success,” 𝗗𝗿. 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶 illustrated an effective method of subject categorization:

● Priority A: High weightage and weak areas

● Priority B: Moderate weightage and average proficiency areas

● Priority C: Low weightage and strong topics

She advised students to allocate 70% of their time to Category A, 30% to Category B, and 10% to Category C for optimal academic performance.

𝗗𝗿. 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶 also introduced the “24–7–30 Revision Rule,” which emphasizes revising content within 24 hours to retain memory, within 7 days to consolidate understanding, and within 30 days to ensure long-term recall — a proven strategy for enduring success.

The Principal further elaborated on the Smart Study Approach, which focuses on maintaining a consistent study schedule, conceptual learning over rote memorization, and regular written practice. She reminded students that even five focused hours of study can yield greater results than twelve unfocused ones.

The session culminated with an interactive reflection, leaving students deeply motivated to plan wisely, revise consistently, and believe in their potential to achieve academic excellence.
