The students of DAV Public School, Lawrence Road , Amritsar conducted a special
assembly on International Day of the Girl Child. The day aims to highlight and address
the needs and challenges girls face, while promoting girls empowerment and the
fulfilment of their human rights.

The students of the school highlighted the achievements of Indian Women in various
fields. Students emphasised that education can transform the lives of girls and can
strengthen their communities. They recited poems and enacted a role play on women
empowerment. The whole atmosphere echoed with the slogan ‘Save the Girl Child’ and
‘Educate the Girl Child’.
